History

Thanks to a mail order catalog nearly 20 years ago, DJ Tayza started creating beats in his basement on an entry level keyboard. Soon, he was utilizing primitive MIDI technology to produce his own brand of electronic music in the style of greats such as Robert Miles, DJ Icey, and Micro. Exposed to turntablism a few years later, he acquired a patchwork of vinyl, mixers, tape machines, and modified a thrift store turntable. Several tapes and crates of vinyl later, his study in the world of synthesized music began to yield results in the form of three continuous mix albums, two full length original albums, one extended album, and numerous singles.

Years later, award-winning producer DJ Tayza can be found matching beats, mashing up songs, and experimenting with waveforms in the laboratory. Due in large part to the capabilities of the internet and social media, Southparkcrawlspace Records is proud to present selected tracks from his efforts over the last decade or so.
